| Our son had to have braces, and we didn't have coverage, so we had to pay for the entire thing out of pocket. His teeth corrected quickly, so I believe that the total cost was about $4,000 after checkups and everything. |

| Insurance doesn't always cover orthodontics. After all the visits to get them tightened for nearly two years, and doing all the x-rays and whatnot, I think the total was close to 5k, all in. |
